snowberries 2010-2015

Spring welcomes us with buds! That is the theme of my series Snowberries. I have also in earlier works made blow ups  of flowers. This time I painted them directly on linen canvas with a painting knife. My inspiration comes from Japanese art; there, ink is used and you see the brush strokes. I have tried to achieve the same effect while painting with oil with magnolia, orchides and snowberries as motives.

Snowberries 2015 - lithographs

I made these stone prints at the Artist co-operative in Nacka outside Stockholm. I used the black parts from the printing process and painted them with ink and watercolour to get different expressions. All are originals printed on 300 gram Velin paper.

I represented Konstnärernas Kollektiv Verkstad i Nacka (Co-operative Artist's Workshop in Nacka) with 3 other artists at the 7th International Print Symposium in Tidaholm, Sweden,  July, 2015.
